Moment

Form and function in the seabed is created silently, held for a short period of time, a tiny moment, before it might vanish. The endless body of water shaping and shifting the seabed sediments into mysterious structures and forms. Some seafloor forms tell us about the history of the ocean, when an ocean basis was being formed millions of years ago and others might tell us about the story of a recent rain event which delivered torrential water from a river mouth into the sea- bringing with it the soil from the land. Time doesn’t stand still on the seafloor- it becomes part of its history which is reflected in the patterns and shapes across many scales from the very small to the vast.
