These “constellations” represent a spectacular field of bedforms located in the Browse Basin, offshore Western Australia. They are reminiscent of a constellation of stars on the floor of the ocean. 

Mapped with a Kongsberg EM3002 multibeam echosounder by Geoscience Australia and the Australian Institute of Marine Science, the bedforms lie in 75 to 100 metres water depth, reach height of 17 m and length of 600 m.
